SWAN 02 | Programs & Events | MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives

Concept

Two sounds are placed side by side, slightly overlapping.

"SWAN" is a live series that brings together the music of two artists side-by-side in a single space, while maintaining the distinct characteristics of each.
The setting is MoN Takanawa after closing hours.
While presenting each performance as an independent live set, the two acts are seamlessly connected, and the entire performance, including the lighting and the lingering resonance of the sound, is structured as a single, cohesive flow.
Rather than relying on large-scale sessions or improvisational collaborations, we aim to create relationships and transformations that arise from the interplay of individual musical styles.

SWAN 02 ermhoi × Tadekui

The second installment of "SWAN 02" will feature ermhoi and tadekui.
ermhoi creates music by traversing voice and electronic sounds, live performance and improvisation, while Tadekui incorporates diverse elements such as jazz, blues, and Brazilian music, creating their own unique sound through the performances of three musicians.
By bringing two different musical styles side-by-side in the same space, we create a night where each piece of music takes on a slightly different character than usual.

After MoN closes, the music series begins at 9 PM.
Enjoy the sounds of two different artists and the time that unfolds between them in the intimate setting of Box300.

Performers

ermhoi

ermhoi is a singer and trackmaker with roots in Japan and Ireland.

In 2015, she released her first album, "Junior Refugee." In 2018, she formed the electro unit Black Boboi with Utena Kobayashi and Julia Shortreed.

In 2025, he composed the music and sound design for the Japan Pavilion "In-Between" at the 19th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition. In 2026, he composed the music for Shinya Tsukamoto's film "Nelson, Did You Kill Someone?".

They pursue their own unique musical expression by traversing the boundaries between voice and electronic sounds, live performance and improvisation, and music and space.

Tadekui

A three-piece band from Akan-cho, Kushiro City, Hokkaido, near Akan Lake Onsen.
Formed in June 2021 by three childhood friends during their high school years.

With the concept of "each person being themselves," they are active in pursuing a free and flexible musical style, incorporating diverse genres such as jazz, blues, and Brazilian music.

Their versatility, musical prowess, and expressive abilities, backed by the trusting relationship between the three members, are highly praised in live performances.

In 2026, with Shuhei Kato (NOT WONK/SADFRANK), with whom she had a long-standing friendship, as producer, she released her long-awaited 1st album "MOTHER".

Following the release, their solo shows at Shibuya WWW and Sapporo cube garden were a great success, and in the same year they also performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2026 and RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2026.

Further success is expected from him in the future.
