Concept
World-class audiovisual live performances
This international festival brings together sound, visuals, and technology, featuring world-class audiovisual live performances, electronic music, digital art, and new media art. Over 20 artists from Japan and abroad will gather to showcase cutting-edge creative expression.
The festival brings together some of the world's finest audiovisual programs, including a 3D/AV Live featuring a new album by leading British audiovisual artist Max Cooper, mouse on the keys celebrating their 20th anniversary, the latest work by pioneer of audiovisual expression Ryoichi Kurokawa, Chilling Bambino, a project by Polish musician Hania Rani, the dance installation "+1+1+1+" by Daito Manabe × ELEVENPLAY, and Film Scores for No One, a new project by Canadian musician Patrick Watson.
Furthermore, we will deliver cutting-edge live performances that fuse video, music, physical expression, and technology, featuring Robert Lippok & Lucas Gutierrez, Grand River, the first Japanese performance of France's NEUROSCAN (Canblaster + Neurotypique), tamanaramen, and more.
On the final day, November 23rd (Monday, public holiday), the world premiere of "PLASTIKMAN | POLYPHONIC FERMENTATION," a new project by Richie Hawtin and Ali Demirel, will be presented. Richie Hawtin has been a leading figure in the global techno scene for many years. This will be the first time in 16 years that a performance bearing the name of PLASTIKMAN, which holds a significant place in his creative activities, will be shown in Japan.
