"Suite of Massacres" depicts the life of Takiji Kobayashi, a leading figure in proletarian literature, focusing on his daily life with the lovable characters who surrounded him.
Why did a shy young man have to die at the age of 29 years and 4 months?
Hisashi Inoue's final play, starring Yoshio Inoue as Takiji Kobayashi from the original production, and directed by Tamiya Kuriyama, is scheduled to be performed in 2027. This musical will deliver a sharp light on contemporary society.

The play premiered in 2009 and won numerous awards, including the 17th Yomiuri Theater Award for Artistic Achievement (Hisashi Inoue), Best Staff Award (Makoto Ozone), Best Director Award (Tamiya Kuriyama), and Best Production Award. In 2012, a revival with the original cast garnered significant attention, resulting in the 63rd Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for New Artists (Theater Category), the 20th Yomiuri Theater Award for Best Actor (Yoshio Inoue), the same award for Best Actress (Junko Takahata), and the 47th Kinokuniya Theater Award for Individual Achievement (Misuzu Kanno).
This is a luxurious musical drama, featuring refined direction by Minya Kuriyama and a collection of beautiful, moving songs such as "Believe and Run" and "Projector of the Heart."
