In 1977, he conducted the Berlin Philharmonic at the Karajan Competition Japan, where they won second prize.
Invited by Herbert von Karajan, he joined the Berlin Philharmonic the following year, honing his skills primarily in Berlin. Beyond classical music, he has participated in numerous stage productions including opera, ballet, and musicals, as well as music recordings, and is active in various media. He has also pioneered innovative music scenes such as film and game music concerts, and collaborated with artists across genres, including rock and pop.
Furthermore, he has created orchestral scores that are as faithful as possible to the sounds used in the films, and he has been developing a series of film music concerts with accompanying visuals, which he planned and organized himself, in various locations. Rather than simply matching the music to the imagery, the concerts are structured so that the live performance is exquisitely synchronized with the visuals, and this approach has attracted attention as a new way to enjoy film music concerts and a new style of performance.

With the catchphrase "A Tiny, Tiny Orchestra," this compact yet high-quality next-generation musical group was born from a passionate desire to "share the joy of orchestral music with as many people as possible." Under the direction of conductor Taizo Takemoto, renowned as a pioneer in concerts with accompanying video, a select group of highly skilled and passionate members have come together to form the group.
The most distinctive feature is the "cinema concert" style, where video and live music are fused at a high level. From meticulous performances that perfectly synchronize with animated footage from timeless classics like "Fantasia" and "Tom and Jerry" down to the last frame, to performances that bring to life cinematic masterpieces such as Chaplin's "City Lights" and "Modern Times" with live music, the show presents a variety of moving stages that stimulate both sight and sound.
