Concept

Tea culture: Encountering the world and Japan

As part of the TAKANAWA WORLD FESTIVAL 2026, MoN Takanawa will host an international cultural exhibition themed around "tea," as well as a special Children's Day Event. Surrounded by the aroma of tea, take off your shoes and rediscover your inner Child. On tatami mats made from tea leaves, immerse yourself in traditional Japanese games or savor local Japanese sweets and tea. Enjoy this "big gathering place" where the world and Japan gently intersect.

To celebrate Children’s Day on May 5, we’ve prepared a set featuring kashiwa-mochi from “Tamagawaya Sohachi”—a long-time favorite in Takanawa—paired with aromatic sencha tea. Please take your time and enjoy this heartwarming treat as you relax with loved ones.
